After being left out of the Movistar team for the Tour, Alex Aranburu has returned to competition this Saturday offering excellent sensations. He was second in the first stage of the Tour de Wallonia, only surpassed by the world champion, Julian Alaphilippe (Quick-Step), faster in a three-way sprint with the ezkiotarra and Robert Stannard (Alpecin). The finish line was located at the Wall of Huy, where Alaphilippe has won three times in the Walloon Fleche. It is the second victory of the season for the Frenchman, after the second stage of Itzulia.

The Belgian test continues until Wednesday, with stages where Aranburu can look for more opportunities before focusing on the Clásica de San Sebastián on Saturday.

Berasategi wins in Madrid

Xabier Berasategi (Laboral Kutxa) won this Saturday in the fourth stage of the Vuelta a la Comunidad de Madrid, which started and finished in Parla, which is still led by Abel Balderstone (Caja Rural).
