Aldaia opens its new sports courts

The participatory process Improving Vitoria-Gasteiz Improving continues to bear fruit. The area around Aldaia, in the Zabalgana neighbourhood, has just launched some new sports courts equipped with an elliptical-shaped skating rink that surrounds them and a large interior multipurpose space for the practice of different disciplines such as football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, ball or climbing.

The City Council, through the Citizen Participation area, has made an investment of almost 400,000 euros to materialize this open-air space, which is located between Pablo Picasso, Clara Campoamor, avenue of the United Nations and Antoni Tapies.

The mayor, Gorka Urtaran, accompanied by the person in charge of Participation, Borja Rodríguez, and the Councilor for Mobility and Public Space, Raimundo Ruiz de Escudero, visited the new space this Friday, “an example of what we want for Vitoria-Gasteiz and its neighbourhoods”, in the words of the first mayor.
