Adrin Otaegui finishes third in a Hero Open that Sean Crocker wins

ADrin Otaegui has been close to victory again and it has been several times this year, although on the last day of the Hero Open, which takes place at Fairmont St Andrews, he lacked a little more push, and that started very well. The performance of the man from San Sebastian, however, was formidable and earned him third place in a tournament won by the American Sean Crocker, with three blows over the Spaniard and one over his immediate pursuer, Eddie Pepperell, who put the most pressure on him.

The Englishman charged with four birdies in the second nine holes, which came to worry a Crocker who from 14 to 18 only signed pairs. For his part, Otaegui could only leave with a -1 from the second part of the route, after the -3 he signed in the first section. Great performance also by Álvaro Quirs, who with a meritorious tenth place signs his best result in the DP World Tour in a long time. Jorge Campillo finished in 30th place.

Sean Crocker, born in Zimbabwe but of American nationality, has chained several weeks in which he has chained good results after a streak of eight failed cuts at the beginning of this year 2022. With Nick Price as a mentor, Crocker, like Brooks Koepka, took the path European to gain a foothold among the greats and this victory means a great boost.
