Alejandro Valverde was hit this Saturday in Murcia with two other cyclists. According to initial reports, the vehicle that hit the runners fled. Cyclists were lying on the ground and police and emergency services were immediately called. Doctors have treated the three runners at the same place of the collision. The Movistar group has reported the accident, which occurred this Saturday, in the Murcian town of Alcantarilla.
Sense fractures
Valverde has been taken to a hospital where he is being treated. His condition is not serious, according to the first data provided by the Movistar group as well as the runners who accompanied him. There are no fractures or serious injuries but the runner will remain hospitalized and under observation for 24 hours.
