Second level

Once the Group Phase was over, Saturday went on to dispute the final classification, making it the children (Under-15) for position 9 to 12, while the cadets (Under-17) did it for positions from 13 to 16. The children faced Cantabria in the first place, with a partial defeat of 2-4, and with partial victories of the Al Hammouti brothers in men’s doubles and Omar Al Hammouti in men’s singles. Subsequently, the rival was the team from the Principality of Asturias in the fight for 11th and 12th place, losing 1-4, with victory for the men’s doubles pair made up of the Al Hammouti brothers. The cadets played at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday 25 against the Region of Murcia, ending with a partial against 4-0. Later they did it against the Canary Islands for 15th and 16th place, winning the selection of the Fortunate Islands with a partial 4-2, with partial victories of the men’s doubles pair Aomar Aomar and Ayman Bouhou and the victory in men’s singles of Aomar Aomar. .

It has been a magnificent championship, with a very remarkable participation of the Melilla midfielders, highlighting in a very important way Omar Al Hammouti, who only lost one match of those played individually. However, it is necessary to highlight all those selected for the good attitude and courage exhibited, as well as for their good physical and technical preparation. Said congratulations must also be extended to the trainers, first of all to José L. Amador, who could not accompany the expedition due to his teaching work; also to Inés López, who with a great technical direction helped the children’s team from the track in the victory against the Canary Islands, and of course to Alfonso Salazar, the great captain, who once again allowed, from daily work, to dream of what achieved.
