1. FC Cologne: 12: 1 at the national league: DFB boss Neuendorf sees Cologne test victory – Bundesliga

Important visitors at the first Cologne test in preparation. DFB President Bernd Neuendorf (60) had arrived before his vacation and saw the 12-1 victory of coach Steffen Baumgart’s (50) boys at the TuS Mondorf state division team in Troisdorf’s Agger Stadium.

Neuendorf watched the game to mark the 100th anniversary of the hosts together with club legend and Mondorf President Stephan Engels (61), sports boss Christian Keller (43), President Werner Wolf (65) and Cologne supervisory board chairman Lionel Souque (50).

Neuendorf: “For me, there is no such thing as professional football and amateur football, but one football. The areas have to support each other and that’s why I like being a guest on the amateur courses.”

The association boss saw the most beautiful goal of the day from the hosts. Their playmaker Redwan Abdalla shot from over 30 meters to make it 1-1 after 18 minutes and caught FC keeper Jonas Urbig too far in front of his goal (19′).

However, FC did the rest without any problems – although the start of training was only four days ago. Hübers (1:0/16.), Schwieren (2:1/25.) and Modeste (3:1/34.) scored before the break – Dietz (4:1/64.), Huseinbasic (5:1/ 66.), Maina (6: 1/67.), Schmid (7: 1/70.), Maina (8: 1/72.), Ehizibue (9: 1/82.), Dietz (10: 1/ 86.), Schmid (11:1/87.), Martel (12:1/90.).

Baumgart changed every 30 minutes. His new signings Linton Maina (23), Denis Huseinbasic (20), Eric Martel (20) and Kristian Pedersen (27) came on after the break. The still ailing captain Jonas Hector (32) sat on the bench.

Cologne’s first preparatory test. Despite heavy legs, it was a successful performance and the boys marched as coach Baumgart expected before they went to the training camp in Donaueschingen on Sunday.

This is how Cologne started: Urbig – Schmitz, Hübers, Chabot, Suchanek – Skhiri, Schwirten – Schindler, Kainz – Andersson, Modeste. Also playing: Hauptmann, Smajic, Strauch, Uth, Arrey-Mbi, Schmid, Dietz, Huseinbasic, Martel, Pedersen, Ehizibue, Kiliann and Koebbing.
