WTA > Andrea Jaeger, sexually harassed by a former WTA employee: “I was told: ‘If you say another word about it, we will make sure that your sister’s scholarship is withdrawn'”

Former tennis prodigy Andrea Jaeger, retired at just 19 and now 57, has decided to speak out in theIndependant. She denounces multiple sexual harassment of which she was the victim on the part of a former employee of the WTA. She also accuses the body managing women’s tennis of having threatened her in order to silence her.

« I have been sexually harassed at least 30 times. Physical attempts, all in the locker room very, very early in my career. This particular member of staff had a big problem keeping his hands to himself. I also avoided being alone in the training rooms because she came to see me there too. I was told, ‘If you say another word about it, we’ll get your sister’s scholarship to Stanford taken away. Every time I tried to defend myself they threatened me »launched the former finalist of Roland-Garros and Wimbledon, who became a nun.
