Women’s Euro U19: France stuck against Italy

Three days after their 3-0 success against the Czech Republic, the France team could not do better than a draw (2-2) against Italy on the second day of the Women’s Euro U19. While waiting for the other meeting of the group between the Czechs and the Spaniards (5.30 p.m.), the French women take the lead in their group alone.

Les Bleues conceded two penalties

Just before half-time Sandrine Ringler’s players conceded the opener by Nicole Arcangeli from the penalty spot (45th + 3). After two similar actions, they had managed to turn the situation around to regain the advantage thanks to the achievements of Judith Coquet and Louna Ribadeira (65th and 69th). But at the end of the match, France conceded a new penalty which allowed the Italians to equalize (88th).
