In an interview given to Email More, the American, initially opposed to Wimbledon’s decision to exclude the Russians and Belarusians, equally strongly criticizes the response of the ATP and the WTA, consisting in withdrawing the points from the London Grand Slam. The former number 1 especially sympathizes with Novak Djokovic who will lose very big.
« It’s laughable, you penalize someone who wins. Like Djokovic. This guy was against that decision. He gets kicked out of Australia, goes to Wimbledon, works and doesn’t even get points if he wins again. You lose places in the standings, it’s completely crazy ”dropped “Big Mac”, in incomprehension.
