When Berlin’s trendy pool becomes a basketball court

Hennessy, the world’s best-selling cognac and the official spirit of the National Basketball Association (NBA), Tuesday night opened a pop-up basketball court at the Haubenaucher Berlin in honor of the NBA’s 75th anniversary season and the 2022 NBA Finals.

Transforming unusual places into stylish basketball courts is part of “Courts Beyond Limits” by Hennessy. Berlin takes center stage this week, joining a roster of spectacular locations around the world, such as Sydney Harbor and London’s Thames before.

To celebrate the 75th NBA anniversary season and the 2022 NBA Finals, the pool at the Haubenaucher Berlin was converted into a stylish, temporary basketball court. At the opening, guests from the Berlin scene saw spectacular dunks by Dunk Elite, an exciting show game by Der Stamm, the four-time German streetball champions, and celebrated to beats by Dipped in Colors. Exclusively and only for this evening in Berlin, guests were able to admire the Larry O’Brien NBA Championship Trophy, which the NBA Champion 2021-22 will receive in a few days.

Drinks of the evening included The Slam Jam with Hennessy Very Special and Ginger Ale or The Playmaker with Hennessy Very Special and Cranberry Juice. The new Hennessy VS x NBA Edition, which was launched exclusively for the partnership, also celebrated its German premiere.

The 2022 NBA Finals resume on Friday, June 17, when the Boston Celtics host the Golden State Warriors for Game 6, live in Germany on DAZN at 3:00 p.m. EDT. The Golden State Warriors lead 3-2 in the best-of-7 series.
