Werder Bremen: Flatland coach in Tyrol: Ole Werner sees a mountain for the first time – Bundesliga

The drudgery has begun!

Ole Werner (34) took 28 players to the training camp in Austria, including Jascha Brandt and Lasse Rosenboom, two players from the U23s. The coach: “We will work hard physically. At the end of the preparation we want to speak one language on and off the pitch. I would like to see progress there.”

Curious: For Werder’s coach (from Schleswig-Holstein), the training camp is the height. Flachland-Ole sees a mountain for the first time in Tyrol!

Werner is amazed: “An impressive panorama. I’ve actually never been to the mountains. I’m not a big skier and in summer I prefer the beach. But I’ve seen a mountain on TV before, so I’m not completely surprised.”

In his home town of Kiel, the highest elevation is the Wohlersberg (74.2 m), in the Zillertal it is the Hochfeiler (3510 m). A huge difference.

By the way: After landing in Munich, the injured Dikeni Salifou (adductor problems) went to Donaustauf for rehabilitation. Only on Friday will the players be on the training ground for the first time to get fit for the fight to stay up at the Parkstadion.
