Vincent Kompany wants Muleka and Bastien at Burnley

It is with a big smile that Selim Amallah and Jackson Muleka returned to the Academy on Tuesday. The Moroccan and the Congolese underwent the pre-season physical tests and, like the rest of the group, attended the Business Meeting at the start of the evening. Two men who could move in the coming weeks as the interest concerning them is important.

Also back after his international obligations and his vacation, Samuel Bastien could also leave Standard a year before the end of his contract. Arriving on the banks of the Meuse in 2018, the defensive midfielder seems to have gone around the question on the banks of the Meuse. It comes back to us that Vincent Kompany and Burnley are keenly interested in the Congolese international. The latter is entering his last year of contract and Standard would not be against saving his salary, which is around €500,000. But the club descended into the Championship last season, which was also interested in Moussa Sissako who favors a full season at Standard, would also like to attract another Standardman to its ranks in the person of Jackson Muleka.

Vincent Kompany has been liking the player for some time and sees him as a forward for his project at Burnley. The leaders of Burnley have made an offer of €3 million (Standard will have to pay 50% to TP Mazembe) for the 22-year-old striker and they would be willing to add €800,000 to also complete the arrival of Samuel Bastien, thus linking both files. For his part, the former Chievo player is not against an adventure across the Channel.

If the Standard and Burnley seem to agree on the price of Muleka, the player and the English club have on the other hand no agreement at this time as there is a difference between supply and demand. Returning to the club on Tuesday, Jackson Muleka had a brief conversation with Ronny Deila who told him that he was counting on him and that he intended to understand what had happened last season and why the former management and staff had decided to lend it. For his part, Muleka is motivated to return to competition at Standard and intends to take the time to study all the options available to him, knowing that Galatasaray, Besiktas, Trabzonspor and even Red Star Belgrade are ready to welcome it. At the beginning of the week, Anderlecht, via Peter Verbeke, took information but the amount requested by the red management is too high for the Brussels club, which is not the case for Club Brugge.

Still in the direction of departures, the young striker on loan last season at MVV Maastricht, Mitchy Ntelo, could still be loaned out this season, discussions are taking place with Beerschot, recently relegated to the lower echelon.
