Viktor Axelsen Becomes King of Badminton World, Lee Zii Jia Dismantles The Cause Is Hard To Beat : Okezone Sports

KUALA LUMPUR – Denmark’s men’s singles, Viktor Axelsen, has further confirmed his status as the king of world badminton today after winning a number of titles this year. Finding this, the Malaysian men’s singles, Lee Zii Jia, also exposed the reason why Viktor Axelsen was difficult to beat.

This was conveyed by Lee Zii Jia after meeting Axelsen again in the semifinals of the Indonesia Open 2022, Saturday 18 June 2022. Through a tough battle, Lee Zii Jia had to admit Axelsen’s superiority with a score of 21-19, 11-21, and 21-23.

Axelsen also advanced to the final and successfully won easily over Zhao Jun Peng (China) with a score of 21-9 and 21-10. Lee Zii Jia was amazed by Axelsen’s abilities.

Lee Zii Jia said Axelsen is a player that is difficult for any representative to beat. In fact, according to him, Axelsen is the strongest men’s singles in the world today.

“You could say, no one can beat him, even though I gave my best and focused on winning the fight,” said Lee Zii Jia, quoted by Harian Metro, Tuesday (21/6/2022).

Lee Zii Jia said that Axelsen had a rock-hard mentality. This is considered to be the reason why the player who was born in Odense 28 years ago is always difficult to match.

“If you look mentally, he is quite strong, that’s why other players are quite difficult to beat him,” said Lee Zii Jia.

Axelsen’s recent record is indeed very flashy. The reason is, Axelsen is unbeaten again after being beaten by Lakhsya Sen in the semifinals of the German Open 2022 in March.
