Valledupar 2022: gymnast Ana Karina Méndez added the sixth gold medal for Peru at the Bolivarian Games

The gold medal achieved in the morning by the mixed badminto team, made up of Fernanda Saponara, Paula La torre, Namie Miyahira, Inés Castillo, Diego mini, José Guevara, Diego Subauste, Daniel La Torre, was joined in the evening by Ana Méndez in Individual Women’s Artistic Gymnastics.

The three silver medals were achieved with Valeria Palacios in Women’s Light Weight Rowing 1x1000m, Aldo Guibu and Ricardo Tateishi in Men’s Double Bowling and Ana Méndez, Ana Rengifo, Chris Centeno, Fabiola Díaz in Women’s Team Artistic Gymnastics

The 5 bronze medals came with Sol Cabrera in Karate Kumite -68kg, Alonso Wong in Judo category -73kg, Xsara Morales in Judo category -70kg, Andrés Sandoval and César Cipriani- Rowing 2x1000m Male Light Weight and Pamela Noya in Rowing in W1x – Single Ladies Open Weight.

With a delegation made up of 600 people, including athletes, officials and coaches, Peru will participate from June 24 to July 5 in the XIX Valledupar 2022 Bolivarian Games, Colombia, which marks the beginning of the Olympic cycle that will culminate with the Paris 2024 Games. .

In the XVIII Bolivarian Games Santa Marta 2017, in Colombia, the Peruvian exponents achieved fourth position with Ecuador. Peru won 32 gold, 53 silver and 69 bronze medals with a total of 154 medals.
