Following the departure of Felice Mazzù, the Union must rebuild a new staff. Karel Geraerts has become T1 and according to Het Nieuwsblad he could see Jean-François Gillet arrive.
Last season, the goalkeeper ended his career before becoming goalkeeping coach at Standard. The Dutch-language daily does not specify the role that the former Standard will have on the Union side.
Felice Mazzù left for Anderlecht and left with goalkeeping coach Laurent Deraedt, physical coach Thibaut Meyer and video analyst Sandro Salamone. The Union is therefore looking for replacements for these posts.
Update: Finally, Jean-François Gillet would have received a proposal, but he would have declined it. He will therefore not join the staff of the Union.
