Lukaku’s transfer saga is ‘hot’ news in Italian football. Not illogical since Inter became champion with the Red Devil in the tip of the attack, and then cashed in at 115 million euros. Lukaku became a hero in Milan and widely acclaimed in the Italian press, quite unlike his last season in England at Chelsea.

Of Blues recently got a new owner and he would not be reluctant to leave Lukaku, albeit on the “right financial conditions”. Just like Wednesday and Thursday Big Rom Friday big again on the front page of the Journal† “Inzaghi agrees with Lukaku. Simone wants the giant at all costs,” it sounds.

“You can remove Romelu from Inzaghi’s team, but you can’t get Romelu out of Simone’s head,” the pink sports newspaper said. “If you want to make a list of champions of Lukaku’s return, the Inter coach is at the top. Inzaghi believes in it and he hopes for it so that he can build his second Inter, with Lukaku in a special place. He sees Romelu as a dominant player who regains the advantage with the Nerazzurri can lay.”

Inter would have to pay at least 23 million to hire Lukaku, which is his write-off cost at Chelsea. To reduce that cost, the Blues possibly want to bring an Inter star to London. Like Denzel Dumfies, Alessandro Bastoni, Milan Skriniar or Lautaro Martinez. The sale of the latter was initially regarded as a certainty, should Lukaku return to Milan.

But the Journal Now states that Inter is aiming for an “atomic attack” with Lukaku, Martinez and Paulo Dybala, who would come across on a free transfer from big rival Juventus. In that case, the aim is for Edin Dzeko to leave, for whom there would be interest from the US and the UAE. Martinez’s manager also said this week: “Someone who scores as much as Lautaro gets noticed. But he is happy at Inter and we see no reason to leave.”

In the meantime, Inter would also work on raising around 30 million euros, a matter of having some extra cash in hand for Lukaku’s return. He would have to halve his wages anyway, which he would be willing to do. And work would be done on the departure of, among others, Joaquin Correa, Stefano Sensi and Andrea Pinamonti.
