Ulmer Philipps moves to the Hamburg Towers

Hamburg (dpa / lno) – Basketball Bundesliga club Hamburg Towers has committed the defensive specialist Christoph Philipps from ratiopharm Ulm. The 2.03 meter tall forward signed a contract with Hamburg until 2023, the club announced on Wednesday. Philipps played for the Swabians for 16 years. In the past two years, the 23-year-old has only been able to play 50 competitive games due to injury.

«Christoph brings a good size and mobility for his position. In the past he had to struggle with injury worries again and again, but he coped with these setbacks very well and motivated himself again and again. He’s very strong mentally for his age,” said Towers CEO Marvin Willoughby. Coach Raoul Korner calls the newcomer an absolute team player and hard worker.
