Speed tribe On March 2, they talked about #Twiterakonvoju, an initiative of motorists who volunteer to help Ukrainians with 4x4s and other cars. Several months have passed and the fifth hundred vehicles are going to Ukraine, but the amount of donations reaches about two million euros. The initiators of the convoy Juris Pūce and Reinis Pozņaks remember that everything started very fast, is still going on, and the pace has been maintained.
Usually cars are transported to the border of Ukraine or enter the territory of the country to Lviv. #Twiteraconvoia’s team themselves have traveled to Kiev and Kharkiv to meet people they have known virtually so far, including the military hospital and the guys on duty.
Life in Ukraine continues, but the background has not changed for months, so help is still needed. The convoy is driven by a wide variety of Latvians, from business leaders to the unemployed, both men and women. The people of Latvia also continue to support both by cars and by donating money, fuel, strangles and other things that are so much needed by the soldiers.
