With a triple leisure and sports offer for this weekend, the activities will not stop at the Mountain Station facilities, and the forecast is to keep up the pace throughout the summer. In the case of Extrema Manzaneda, there will be two

tests, on June 25 and 26, of 12 and 21 kilometers respectively, and also a test for children. In addition to being demanding, it will be a very spectacular competition as it runs through one of the roofs of Galicia. The participants will have to deal with considerable slopes and will be controlled by an electronic chip system, either in the number or in the shoes, so that the times are 100% effective.

Coincidence with the Freshwater Fishing Championship

La Extrema Manzaneda coincides in dates with the Galician Freshwater Fishing Championship in native cyprinids with floats. The competition will take place in the Chandrexa de Queixa reservoir on June 25 and 26 and around thirty people will participate. The organization decided to carry out the test in this scenario as there are few invasive species. The winner will qualify for the Copa-España 2023, while the first six that are not part of the Galician National Team will go on to do so.

The cycle of female voices “Ellas cantan”, financed by the Diputación de Ourense, also adds to the proposals for this weekend, with the performance of the duet Habana Feeling, on the 25th from 11:00 p.m. It will be the first of ten performances scheduled for every Saturday in July and August, with a common thread: only groups led by women participate.

Three sporting events in Manzaneda

The calendar got off to a strong start this summer at the Manzaneda Mountain Station, offering the widest and most varied in the station’s history, with between two and three sporting events per month until the end of the year and with concerts every week in the months of July and August.

Added to all this are the usual activities at the Manzaneda facilities, designed to be carried out individually, as a family or in groups. This year a children’s climbing wall, several paintball fields, electric bicycle routes or a new multi-adventure park for children under 6 years of age and the renovation of the current one have been incorporated. They will complement those already offered last year: adult and junior bike park, horseback riding, archery, giant zip line, tourist chair lift or swimming pool and thermal circuit.
