Transfers: Liverpool agree with Mané replacement – FOOTBALL INTERNATIONAL

Liverpool FC makes its Transfer-Homework. In the event of the departure of Sadio Mané (30), who from FC Bayern is courted, the “Reds” want to be prepared.

The rumor has been around for a long time that coach Jürgen Klopp’s (54) club wants to sign Darwin Nuñez (22/contract until 2025) from Benfica as Mané’s successor. The problem so far: The Portuguese are said to be asking around 100 million euros for the striker.

But now things are moving. On the one hand, the “Guardian” reports that Liverpool are preparing an offer for the Uruguayan of around 80 million euros plus 20 million additional payments. On the other hand, according to “The Athletic”, the club has agreed on a long-term contract with Nuñez.

Should Benfica agree to the offer from the Premier League runners-up, Liverpool can look forward to a Mané exit. At 22, Nuñez is already an absolute top star. Last season he scored 34 goals in 41 competitive games for Benfica, including six goals in ten Champions League appearances.
