Emerson Royal has escaped a drama. The Tottenham Hotspur defender was the victim of a robbery while leaving a disco in Brazil. When a police officer intervened, 28 shots were allegedly fired. Miraculously, Emerson was unharmed.
By no means a stress-free vacation for Emerson Royal. The 6-time Brazil international enjoyed a night out in his hometown of São Paulo. Only when leaving the disco the defender suddenly got a gun pushed under the nose. The robber demanded the gold chain and watch from Emerson.
Moments earlier, the Spurs player had just happened to have his picture taken with a plainclothes officer who witnessed the robbery. The policeman drew his weapon, which led to a shooting with 28 shots. Miraculously, Emerson was unharmed.
Emerson also posted a photo with his rescuer on Instagram. “I call him an angel”, it sounds. “He risked his life to save mine. I will be eternally grateful to you. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
