Titanes de Barranquilla, champion of the Colombian Basketball League | THE UNIVERSAL

With an agonizing and decisive basket by Heissler Guillent, Titanes de Barranquilla beat Cafeteros 91-90 on Monday and won the title of the Colombian Professional Basketball League.

Guillent was proclaimed the MVP (Most Valuable Player) of the 2022 regular season.

The two teams engaged in a heated encounter, tipping the balance a little for Cafeteros. Everything seemed that a fourth game would be played, but Titanes lavished to the maximum and the outstanding figure of Guillent appeared, who sentenced the commitment with his miraculous basket so that the Barranquilleros would win the trophy.

Cafeteros had in Andrés Ibargüen their best figure with 25 points, but Titanes was more of a team.

The MVP of the final was the Panamanian Ernesto Oglivie, who was the spark plug at all times, contributing 22 baskets.

Titanes wins its sixth award and becomes the quintet with the most titles in Colombian professional basketball in a row, equaling Búcaros de Bucaramanga, which adds the same amount, but in different seasons.

The final, which ended with a resounding 3-0, was played at the El Pueblo Coliseum in Cali. The barranquilleros swept.
