Threats, injuries and resistance to public officials: arrested, tried and released

CELLINO SAN MARCO – Arrested and released from prison within 24 hours as part of the trial for a 60-year-old from Cellino San Marco, RO, accused of resisting a public official, injuries and threats. The man, defended by the lawyer Francesco Cascione, was arrested on the afternoon of Tuesday 14 June after a dispute on the street with a woman and her son. He allegedly threatened them with a baseball bat and a knife for private strife.

The two, who were in a car, asked for the intervention of the carabinieri in front of the threats. A patrol from the local station went to the scene and reached the 60-year-old on the street a few hundred meters away from the place where the facts had occurred. The man was on board a bicycle, in the basket there was still the baseball bat that was taken and confiscated. RO would have opposed the search by threatening, insulting and yanking the carabinieri who also suffered injuries and bruises. Arrested, assisted by the lawyer Francesco Cascione, this morning, the 60-year-old presented himself before the court of Brindisi in monochrome composition for validation and direct judgment. Judge Chiarelli ordered his release.
