The Warriors fill the streets of San Francisco

A crowd of hundreds of thousands of fans filled the center of San Francisco this Monday to greet the new NBA champion, Golden State Warriorsas the team held their victory parade along Market Street.

Before the parade began, the team was presented at a meeting with fans near the start of the route, during a program that included interventions by players and coaches.

It is the first sports championship parade to be held in San Francisco since 2014, the last time the Giants won the World Series. Previous Warriors victory parades in 1975, 2015, 2017 and 2018 were held in downtown Oakland.

The squad of the Californian team came to this celebration after having spent the weekend in Las Vegas, where the players celebrated their success privately. Draymond GreenKlay ThompsonAndrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole were some of those who were seen in the city of Nevada, where they also coincided with professional soccer players such as Neymar Guillermo Ochoaor with the boxer Chris EubankVIP guests to the party.

Los Warriors beat the bostons Celtics last Thursday in the sixth game of the NBA final playoff, 103-90. The team’s star point guard, Stephen Currynow a four-time NBA champion, was named series MVP. “Nobody thought we’d be here,” the 34-year-old said after winning the ring back.

Golden State had three titles during a historic rivalry with Lebron James and the Cavaliers between 2015 to 2018.
