The Plouffe brothers help Canada advance to the women’s 3×3 basketball semifinals

The Canadian women’s 3×3 basketball team has advanced to the semi-finals of the 2022 FIBA ​​World Cup after back-to-back wins on Saturday.

Canada defeated leading Germany 22-13 and then defeated the United States 14-10 to advance to the next round of the tournament.

The semi-finals and final will be played on Sunday.

“I’m very proud of our team,” said Michelle Plouffe after her second win of the day.

“Germany is a great team, they have a lot of chemistry, they’ve been playing together for a while,” said Crozon, who beat Germany.

“We played with them in the women’s final last year and lost, so we know they’re a really great team and they really need to be prepared when they come into this game.”

The USA did not lose to Saturday’s quarterfinals.

In the last minute of the game, Katherine Plouffe found a fouled Bosch under the basket and went to the line to shoot a free throw to give Canada a 13-10 advantage.
