The City celebrates Olympism! » The economic and political newsletter of PACA

Nearly 800 young Toulonnais enrolled in 32 elementary schools in the city will take part in Olympic Day which will take place on June 23, 2022 on the beaches of Mourillon.

All are in CM1 class and have tried some of the 26 Olympic and Paralympic disciplines on display. Apart from the time slots reserved for schoolchildren, these activities, which are free, will be open to the general public. Only conditions: be over 7 years old and register on site.
To introduce all these sports disciplines which will be on the program of the 2024 Olympic Games, the City has relied on sports associations, their volunteers at the head of which is the Departmental Olympic and Sports Committee (CDOS) as well as
13 students from the Mediterranean Institute for Sport, Animation and Tourism (IMSAT).
Located on the Grande Tourrache campus, the IMSAT trains 18-30 year olds in the profession of sports educator.
An active and sporting city, Toulon joined the Terre de Jeux 2024 approach in 2021.
The City has thus undertaken to bring the excitement of the Games to as many people as possible, to integrate sport into the daily lives of its inhabitants and to ensure that this collective adventure is beneficial to all.
