The Bolivarian sports fire arrived in Valledupar, venue of the Games

The world capital of vallenato receives this Tuesday the sports fire in its communes. Plaza Alfonso López will be the protagonist of luxury and will add accordion notes to the day.

The llama, finally, makes its arrival in the host city of the fair, after beginning its journey in the Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino in Santa Marta, the headquarters of the Ministry of Sports in Bogotá and the Ciénaga de Zapatosa in Chimichagua.

After the party during the weekend in the fishing city, it will be commune one, where Plaza Alfonso López is located, that welcomes the fire around 5:00 in the afternoon.

The first section will have for this day 4.7 kilometers, a route in which there will be a total of thirteen athletes who will do four relays to carry the fire to the square. The start will be given from the Obelisk roundabout located in commune four.

Among the athletes who will be there are Anni Vargas (rugby); Róbinson Varela (athletics); Andrea Cannon (skating); Andres Reales (judo); Jorge Arias (soccer player); Manuel Moreno (for athletics) and Jesús David Gómez (powerlifting).

Once the fire reaches the square, the folklore shows will not wait at the headquarters of the Bolivarian competition. Typical dances, the pilón dance and musical groups will be on stage highlighting the culture of the city of Los Santos Reyes.

The anthems of Colombia, Cesar and Valledupar will be sung by the band from Colegio Nacional Loperena.

Local and national sports authorities will be present at the ceremony, in addition to the president of ODEBO, Baltazar Medina. Óscar Muñoz, medalist in taekwondo at the 2012 Olympic Games, will be the protagonist in the lighting of the cauldron that will officially illuminate the city that awaits the games.
