The Basketball Champions League is a hit on social media

The Basketball Champions League continues to strengthen its position as one of the fastest growing and most digitally active leagues in Europe, driven primarily by the growth of its digital assets.

In total, the sixth season recorded an increase in fans and consumption, with more than 79 million video views and more than 107 million fans through social networks. Final 4 in Bilbao itself generated over 6 million video views and reached 7.7 million fans.

“We are extremely happy to see the competition confirm its enormous success on social networks. At the end of the season, there were nearly 2.5 million BCL followers on its various platforms. The recent launch of our Tik-Tok channel has been remarkable, and greatly contributes to our growth. The digital release of the first six seasons is impressive. We are very proud of such an achievement, and to see so many fans enjoying and interacting with our content,” said Patrick Comninos, CEO of the BCL.

Finally, www.championsleague.basketball generated nearly 5.5 million visits during the 2021-22 campaign. The Basketball Champions League Instagram platform alone grew 11% from last season.
