The baseball tournament season is launched in Bas-St-Laurent

Note the performance of the Temiscouata Braves U11B, who won the silver medal. Their only loss came in the Grand Final.

Indeed, the Braves Cascades 11U B won the silver medal during this tournament. After winning their 2 games in the preliminary round against the teams from La Pocatière and Rimouski, the Braves Cacades advanced to the semi-finals. They then faced the host team, the Rivière-du-Loup Mariniers, whom they defeated in a hotly contested game. Then, during the final, the Braves Cacades lost against the powerful formation of Sept-Îles to take the 2e place of this tournament.

The Braves Cacades team is made up of players Antoine Beaulieu, Antoine Caron, Léo-Philippe Castonguay, William Deschênes, Dylan Filion, Izack Pelletier, Loik Theriault, Émile Thibault and Logan Whitney as well as reservists Justin Ouellet and Isaac Whitney, from the head coach Dominik Whitney and assistants Pierre-Olivier Thibault and Sébastien Ouellet.

The women’s team Braves Boralex B2 and the Braves Côté Ouellet Thivierge 11U A also represented the ABMT during this tournament in Rivière-du-Loup.

“We would like to congratulate the players and coaches of our 3 teams for their great performance throughout the weekend as well as the precious involvement of the parents” concluded the members of the ABMT Board of Directors.

The next tournaments will take place next weekend in Saint-Pascal for the 9U and in two weeks in La Pocatière for the 15U.
