Ciudad Juarez, Chih.- The Angeles team was victorious in the Raúl Palma Cano 2022 Basketball Tournament that concluded this weekend in this town, with the participation of 14 teams, followed by second and third place by Falcons and Leds, respectively.
Martha Figueroa, administrator of the Raúl Palma Cano Municipal Gymnasium, reported that the activities began on March 12 with games held on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, to conclude this weekend.
14 teams competed, made up of basketball players from 17 to 50 years of age, in the Hanky’s, Jaguares A and B, Falcon’s, Raptor’s, Angeles, Teams, Family, Lets, GPE teams, among others, in the free men’s modality five against five.
Martha Figueroa expressed her gratitude to the Municipal Government for the support provided through the Municipal Institute of Sports and Physical Culture of Juárez, for the development of activities.
He indicated that trophies were given to the teams that won the first, second and third place.
He also highlighted that in an intermediate game between the semifinals and finals, as special guests, elements of the National Guard participated against the Raptors, the Raptors being champions with a score of 58-52.
This Raúl Palma Cano 2022 Basketball tournament, said Figueroa, took place in an atmosphere of coexistence and camaraderie among the members of all the teams, some of them made up of direct relatives, father, sons, uncles and brothers.
