Corona agreements on your own?
The French tennis player Alizé Cornet (32/number 44 in the world) told the French newspaper “L’Équipe” that the stars at the last Grand Slam tournament, the French Open (May 22 – June 5, 2022), despite symptoms had not tested for Corona.
It was an unofficial agreement among the professionals.

Cornet: “There was a COVID-19 epidemic in Roland Garros, nobody talked about it. Everyone got infected in the changing room and we didn’t say anything.”
Did almost everyone play positively?
Cornet continued: “In Roland Garros, yes, I think there were a couple of cases and it was a tacit understanding between us. We don’t do self-tests to save ourselves trouble!”
But there was no total silence pact! Barbora Krejčíková (26) and Marie Bouzková (23), among others, made their corona infections public. Background: the tests were voluntary.
Cornet: “After that, I saw girls wearing masks, maybe because they knew they could have it and didn’t want to pass it on.”
Cornet’s sudden revelations were triggered by recent developments at Wimbledon. After Croatia star Marin Čilić (33), last year’s finalist Matteo Berrettini (26) had to withdraw there due to a positive corona test. Due to the increasing frequency of cases, the tournament management is considering reintroducing mandatory tests.
