Medals for Wiler Karatekas
The eleventh St. Gallen Karate Championship took place in Flawil last weekend. A total of ten athletes from the Budo-Sport-Club Arashi Yama Wil took part. Joannis Dokos (2nd from left) was able to secure second place in the category Kata Elite U18 Men and won the bronze medal in the same Kumite category +70 kg. Yanic Isenring (2nd from right) won gold in the category Kata U16 boys -3. Kyu and in the same fight category -58 kg he could also secure bronze. Mena Kamalanathan (r.) started in the same kata category and received the silver medal for his achievements. In the same kumite division +58 kg he managed to secure third place. Bronze for Wiler judoka Eva Wiesli
As the only participant of the Budo-Sport-Club Arashi Yama Wil, Eva Wiesli won the bronze award in the U18 -63kg category at the ranking tournament in Uster last weekend. After moving to a higher age and weight category, she was able to snag a podium for the first time this year.
