Stephen Curry wants to come to Paris for the 2024 Olympics

After winning everything in the NBA, Stephen Curry is looking for new challenges. 4 titles, 2 MVPs, 8 All-Star Game and All-NBA Team selections, now a Finals MVP trophy… in the league, his record is as long as the range of his shot. All this he accomplished under Steve Kerrwith whom he now hopes to win an Olympic medal on French soil, in 2024.

What he misses is a gold medal at the Olympics. And I think he really needs to focus on playing for the Olympic team in 2024.”, claimed Kerrcoach of Golden State and Team USA, after their victory in the NBA Finals

Curry seems to have taken his coach’s words very seriously. Before the Warriors’ parade to celebrate their title in the streets of San Francisco, he wanted to clarify the subject. The “chef” assured that he wanted to participate in the Paris Olympic Games in 2024 with Kerr. Great news for the American selection, less for France. This indeed means that the Blues will have to defeat the greatest shooter in history to achieve their goal.

The point guard has worn the Team USA jersey in the past. He played a minor role at the 2010 World Cup, where the United States won gold. Curry then repeated the feat in 2014, in Spain, with much more playing time. However, he never won an Olympic title.

His teammates, Klay Thompson et Draymond Green, have already won a gold medal in 2016, at the Rio Games. Green even won a second last summer, in Tokyo. Steve Kerr was also present with him in Japan, as an assistant, to prepare to take over from Gregg Poppovich au coaching. Andre Iguodalaa little older, went through it in 2012.

Stephen Curry is therefore the only member of the base of the Warriors dynasty who has never received this distinction. A new error to be corrected, from 2024, in front of the French public. These Olympic Games were already announced to be unmissable, but they are becoming even more interesting today.
