Slovenian international Miha Blazic arrives in Angers

Defender Miha Blazic, a 29-year-old Slovenian international at the end of his contract in Hungary, has signed up for three years in Angers, the football club announced on Friday, which must rebuild its central hinge.

Blazic arrives from Ferencvaros, a Budapest club with which he has just been crowned Hungarian champion for the 4th consecutive year.

Slovenian international, he has 18 selections since 2018, after having regularly participated in youth selections.

On the European scene, he also played in the group stage of the Champions League in 2020 and the Europa League on several occasions with Ferencvaros.

Angers is counting on him to build a new central hinge after the departure of his two historic axial at the end of the contract, Romain Thomas and Ismaël Traoré. Thomas, who arrived in 2013, refused the club’s extension offer while Traoré, who arrived in 2015 and captain since 2017, did not receive one.

Blazic is already Angers’ third summer recruit, after goalkeeper Yahia Fofana and attacking midfielder Himad Abdelli, who were both at the end of their contract in Le Havre (L2) and had already committed several months to signing at the SCO.
