Schalke: After Norwich disaster – Nice only offers 6 million for Kabak – Bundesliga

Its price keeps falling!

Due to the flop loan to Norwich City, Schalke’s worry star Ozan Kabak (22/contract until 2024) continues to fall. According to transfermarkt.de, the market value of the Turkish national defender (high of EUR 32 million in March 2020) fell from EUR 13 million to EUR 10 million.

A dramatic development that Schalke is now feeling concretely…

After Norwich disaster: Nice only offers 6 million euros for Kabak!

BILD learned: OGC Nice has shown great interest in the defensive star. The France club (last season fifth) wants to build him up as the successor to the former Bayern-Brasis Dante (now 38).

But the OGC offer is puny at 6 million euros. Schalke expects around 8 million euros plus success bonuses – a lightning agreement seems impossible.

The Kabak crash!

► The fact that he didn’t get the career curve even in Norwich increases the doubts about his class. The purchase obligation of 13 million euros was linked to a commitment clause (20) plus relegation. But Kabak hardly took place (only 11 Premier League games) – and Norwich got relegated again.

► A torn thigh muscle (torn in an international match) and the premature end of the season fueled the suspicion that Kabak was very prone to injury.

So it’s no wonder that clubs want to pay the transfer fee and have the slow seller at a bargain price.

Schalke can lend him a third time if necessary. But neither sports director Rouven Schröder (46) nor Kabak really want that. If Nice improves something, there could finally be a line after many millions burned.

HRS (hotel bookings) will be the new training kit partner at Schalke until 2025.
