Samet Geyik at Fenerbaheçe Beko – TRT Spor

Fenerbahçe Beko announced that they have reached a 1-year agreement with Samet Geyik.

In the statement made by the club, the following statements were used: “Our Fenerbahçe Beko Men’s Basketball Team has reached a one-year agreement with the successful tall player Samet Geyik (2.06, 1993).

Born in Manisa on January 12, 1993, Samet Geyik started his basketball career with Bornova Municipality in the 2009-10 season. Transferred to Tofaş in 2010-11, Samet wore the uniform of Bursa representative until the end of the 2014-15 season. Samet Geyik, who started the 2015-16 season with Darüşşafaka and finished the season in Pınar Karşıyaka, spent the 2016-17 season at Anadolu Efes.

Transferred to Beşiktaş in 2017, Samet sweated the team’s jersey for three seasons. Samet Geyik, who transferred to Türk Telekom in the summer of 2020, spent the last two seasons with the capital city representative.

Samet played in 15 EuroCup games in the 2021-22 season, staying on the field for an average of 21 minutes and averaging 6.9 points (55.9% two points, 33.3% 3 points, 66.7% free throws), 4.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 7.2 PIR.

Samet finished the 2021-22 season with averages of 7.52 points (46.25% two points, 38.24% three points, 75.61% free throws), 4.12 rebounds and 1.04 assists in 26 games in the ING Basketball Super League. Samet Geyik also made our national jersey sweat many times, both in the lower age groups and at the A Team level.

Samet Geyik can play in both long positions and draws attention especially with the shooting threat he can create in these positions.
