All these names are a clear sign of the ambition that Barakaldo has this season to be promoted to the Second RFEF, after the economic boost that Biscayan investors will provide. Several of the players could play in a higher category, but they have chosen this project, which aims to complete a very competitive squad. The first signing to be announced was that of Unai Arieta, a striker with great scoring figures at Vitoria – a subsidiary of Eibar – and who two seasons ago was called up by José Luis Mendilibar 18 times between the League and Copa del Rey, playing four games in the First Division and another in the KO tournament. This last season he has played thirty games and has scored nine goals.

Ekaitz Molina is a 28-year-old midfielder who arrives from Gernika in the Second RFEF. An injury at the beginning of this last course has prevented him from having many minutes. He has played fifteen stakes. Before he passed through Arenas, Iurretako, Leioa, Cultural de Durango and Amorebieta. He has experienced a promotion to Second Division B with the Durangarras and the historic promotion to Second Division with the Blues. The next to arrive was Endika Buján, who will live his first experience as a senior. At 19 years old, this striker from Baracaldés and factory youth player, has played for the last two seasons in the Danok Bat Juvenile División de Honor, scoring eight goals in this category.

Finally, Barakaldo took over the services of Julen Huidobro. A 27-year-old midfielder who has shone with his own light at Leioa, being one of the best midfielders in the group, scoring ten goals in the league and another three in the Federation Cup. He previously served in Arenas, Zamudio, Alavés B, Sodupe and Sestao River. As for the renewals section, the manufacturers have opted for the continuity of Jon Tena in goal after becoming the starter since he arrived in October to replace the injured Areitio. As well as that of Mikel Castrillejo and Bittor Isuskiza, fixed in Nando Alonso’s schemes since they wear the black and white jacket. In this way, the manufacturers already have ten troops, adding Altair, Urki and Borja Álvarez, players who already had a contract.
