This is the first recruit stamped Olivier Echouafni: after a freelance of five months in Romania, and more precisely at Dinamo Bucharest (15 matches), Balthazar Pierret launched the transfer window of QRM this Wednesday, June 22, 2022. The midfielder of 22 years has signed up for a year, plus an optional year, with the Norman club.
Launched with the big boys in Boulogne-sur-Mer
Trained at OGC Nice, where he was supervised at the time by Alain Wathelet, then director of the training center, this 1.86 m left-hander made his debut with the “big guys” on the side of the USBCO, in National. During the 2020-2021 season, he played 25 games in this division, before the arrival on the Boulogne bench of Eric Chelle gradually called his place into question: if he started the previous exercise in the skin of a holder on the Opal Coast (10 matches), he was then sent to reserve. His situation even prompted him to terminate his contract amicably mid-season, following which he joined the Romanian capital.
A major player in his new team, Pierret distinguished himself in spite of himself with an astonishing statistic: he ended the previous season having experienced three relegations since teams A and B of Boulogne-sur-Mer and Dinamo Bucharest are descended.
