Qatar will host the 2022 World Patel Championship

The Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation (QTSBF) has announced that it has won the 2022 edition of the Khalifa International Tennis & Arena for the second consecutive year, hosting the Men’s and Field World Championships. Squash Camp from October 31 to November 5.

The men’s tournament will feature 38 teams, 10 of which have qualified directly, including Qatar.

On the other hand, 34 teams will take part in the women’s tournament, of which 10 teams have been promoted directly, with Spain at the top of the table. Qatar hosted the World Cycling Championships for the first time in the Middle East and Asia last year, after being held in Latin America and Europe.

Nasser bin Ghanim Al-Khalifi, President of the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation, said in a statement: “Qatar is proud to host back-to-back 2022 World Championships. The confidence of the International Patel Federation in the capabilities of Qatar to organize major competitions and sporting events.

Al-Qulaifi added: “Qatar’s global reputation in sport is the result of its High Commissioner Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani’s support for the country’s sport and his trust in the people and government. Skills to achieve the desired success.”

The person in charge of QTSBF highlighted that the federation has all the logistical, human and administrative capacities to deliver the new exceptional version of the 2022 Padel World Championship.

For his part, Tariq Jain, Secretary General of QSTBF and Director of the Championship, said: , Qatar has raised the best regulatory standards in the world and managed to host some of the biggest competitions, even last year, either in the infrastructure or the players, due to interest in government and private sector investment in sports.
