A National Men’s Basketball Team gathered at Istanbul Sinan Erdem Sports Hall before the away game against Great Britain on Sunday, 3 July. Players who finished the season in the ING Basketball Super League also took part in the training of the national team, which lasted about three hours. Turkish Basketball Federation President Hidayet Türkoğlu and TBF executives followed the training.
Crescent-Stars are in Group B together with Great Britain and Greece in the FIBA 2023 World Cup Qualifiers. FIBA announced that Belarus was expelled from the group in line with its previous decision.
