Two disembark!
As expected, Liverpool FC and goalkeeper Loris Karius (28) and striker Divock Origi (27) will go their separate ways in the future. Both leave Premier-League-Club. This was officially announced by the “Reds” on Thursday.
The contract of Karius, who played his last game for the Reds more than four years ago and meanwhile at Besiktas Istanbul and the 1. FC Union Berlin was awarded expires at the end of the month.
Karius moved to Liverpool from FSV Mainz 05 in the summer of 2016. He made 49 appearances in his first two seasons at Anfield and was a first-choice goalkeeper when the Reds won the final of the 2017/18 season Champions League reached. There, however, the goalkeeper played a major role in the 3-1 defeat against Real Madrid with two serious mistakes. The final in Kyiv on May 26, 2018 was also his last competitive game for Liverpool.

Brazilian keeper Alisson Becker had ousted Karius as number 1 in Liverpool goal. The German goalkeeper later slipped further down the rankings and was no longer part of the squad after returning from Berlin.
Origi will leave Liverpool after eight years, his contract is also up. “Thank you for an amazing eight years of service and for leaving us so many special memories,” the Reds tweeted. According to Italian media, the clipper is about to move to AC Milan on a free transfer.
