Porsche unveils its 963 livery and drivers for the centenary

The German brand Porsche announced Friday, at Goodwood, the 963 model scheduled for the 24 hours of Le Mans in 2023. The names of the drivers were also revealed.

For the centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2023, Porsch wants to strike a blow. The German brand announced on Friday in Greenwood, England the expected livery for next season.

The 963 model in the typical colors (white, red and black) will have a power of 680 hp (500 kW) thanks to its 4.6-liter V8 Biturbo and a Canadian chassis from Multimatic.

Porsche Motorsport Director Thomas Laudenbach was optimistic about the brand’s first tests: “After completing 7,889 kilometers of testing in the first half of 2022, we have made good progress, but we still need to fine-tune some aspects before the start of the next season.“, he excuses.

The German brand took the opportunity to announce the list of its pilots “seasoned, successful” scheduled for 2023: the French Kévin Estre and Mathieu Jaminet, the Dane Michael Christensen, the German André Lotterer, the Belgian Laurens Vanthoor and the Australian Matt Campbell, the American Dane Cameron and the Brazilian Felipe Nasr.

The objective displayed by Porsche is clear: to add a 20th crowning record in the Sarthe. The Porsche 963 will officially make its racing debut in January 2023 at the 24 Hours of Daytona in the United States.
