Philadelphia emerges as a possible destination for Terrence Ross

Philadelphia 76ers are looking for options to improve their team as the market opens. A target that has been linked to the Sixers for a long time is available and his price has been revealed: Terrence Ross. The Magic are rumored to be trading their player and could possibly ask for multiple second-round picks in return. Multiple sources have connected Ross with the Sixers for years and it may finally be time for Philadelphia to make a move.

Last season, Ross had a down year in his career in which he averaged 10 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists. Even more disappointing were his shooting percentages at 39.7% from the field and just 29.2% from 3-point range. However, those numbers don’t show the player he can be.

The 2021-22 season was a tough one for just about every Orlando Magic player. Especially Ross, since he and the franchise are, in the player’s own words, “definitely in different places.” It’s clear Ross isn’t happy to be a part of the youth movement in Orlando and the team is still years away from competing at the level Ross hopes for. That’s where Daryl Morey and the Philadelphia 76ers come into the equation.

For Philadelphia, Ross may not live up to all of their expectations, but he’s good enough to be worth a bet on him if Orlando is willing to drop his market price to two second-round picks. It may not be the only move for the Sixers this offseason, but it could be one of the first picks.
