Petra Kvitova wins at Eastbourne

The Czech Petra Kvitova, 31st in the world and seeded No. 14, won the final of the WTA 500 tournament in Eastbourne (Great Britain) on Saturday by beating the Latvian in two sets (6-3, 6-2). Jelena Ostapenko, 14th in the world and defending champion.

This is the 29th tournament won by Petra Kvitova who, two days before the opening of Wimbledon, arrives in confidence after a good week in Eastbourne. The Czech has twice won the Grand Slam tournament, in 2011 and 2014.
