Pacers ready to transfer Malcolm Brogdon and Myles Turner

We thought he was safe with the departure of Domantas Sabonis towards Sacramento, but obviously, Myles Turner is also in the hot seat in Indiana. The Athletic informs us that the franchise is seriously discussing the transfers of the pivot and Malcolm Brogdon.

However, this is not really a surprise since rumors have been regularly mentioned around these two players in recent months.

Our colleagues announce that the Hornets are interested in Myles Turner, while the Wizards and the Knicks have an eye on Malcolm Brogdon. New York’s interest in the Indiana point guard isn’t new and to sell the Pacers, the Knicks have the 11th draft pick.

For its part, Washington has the 10th choice to offer and ESPN recently explained that the franchise of the capital would be ready to exchange it to obtain an experienced player to accompany Bradley Beal on the back lines. This is typically the profile of Malcolm Brogdon, despite his many physical glitches for two seasons.

This desire to discuss with other franchises could logically suggest that the Pacers are fully launched in a process of reconstruction, around Tyrese Haliburton and with their 7th choice of the Draft. However, The Athletic specifies that the leaders could just as easily reorganize their group with other veterans as starting from scratch with only young players.

Perhaps it is the quality of the bargaining chips offered against Myles Turner and Malcolm Brogdon that will guide the strategy adopted by the Pacers to bounce back after a failed season (25 wins, 57 losses), without “play-in” nor playoffs for the first time since 2015.
