First places for Unai Girol in the Gipuzkoa Cup and for Hiba Eissa in the Gipuzkoa Championship
The local judokas had an outstanding performance in the tournaments that took place last weekend in the town of Errenteria.
On Saturday afternoon the Gipuzkoa Cup was held in the juvenile category and the locals achieved the following results: in women’s judo, Malak El Morabet Eissa was second in less than 44 kilos and Nahia Rodríguez Vinagre, third in the same weight. For its part, Iune Doval Taboada ranked third in less than 52 kilos.
In men’s, highlight the first place of the judoka Unai Girol Díez in less than 47 kilos and the second place of Alain Caballero Moreno in less than 34.
Gipuzkoa Championship
On Sunday morning, Errenteria hosted the celebration of the Gipuzkoa Championship in the juvenile category. Regarding the classification of those trained by Iñaki San Martín, Hiba Eissa’s first place in less than 36 kilos and Layan Khoudi’s third in less than 36. Irati Martínez Díez was third in less than 40 kilos and her Companion Nahia Sánchez Ascunce also took third position in the weight of less than 48 kilos.
The Andoain Judo Club regretted that its judokas Lide Aranburu González and Lorena Lata Ouviña could not participate in these championships due to their injuries. Both, indicates Iñaki San Martín, could have been medalists in the Gipuzkoa Championship in which they were already classified.
