The Latvian tennis player defeated the Ukrainian Anhelin Kalinin in the fight for the place in the semifinals with 6-3, 6-2.
Reaching the semi-finals gives Ostapenko 185 WTA points.
The two tennis players had met once during their careers so far, winning Ostapenko in the third round of the 2015 St. Petersburg tournament qualifiers with 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.
Last year’s Eastbourne tournament champion Ostapenko took 14th place in the WTA rankings and was ranked eighth in the tournament, while Kalinin is 36th in the world rankings.
The Latvian tennis player was free from the first round, in the second with the Australian tennis player Ajla Tomļanovič (WTA 45) 6-4, 6-4 and in the third round he won the American Madison Kis (WTA 24), the opponent did not continue the fight after the first set, in which with 6-3 won Ostapenko.
In the semifinals, Ostapeko will meet Camilla George (26th WTA) from Italy.
George 12, who was seeded in the 12th round, was free in the first round, in the second round he defeated the Canadian Rebecca Marino (WTA 107) in the second round, in the third round he defeated Gavrinji, who was seeded in the fifth round with 7-5, 6-3 Viktor Tomov (WTA 128) from Bulgaria was defeated by Spain (WTA 10) and 6-2, 6-1 in the quarterfinals.
The Eastbourne tournament will run until the end of the week, and this is the last race before the Wimbledon Championship.
