Organization of the Olympic Games in Seine-et-Marne: the Department awards €600,000 to Team 77 equipment

The Department supports new projects labeled “Games Preparation Centers” (CPJ) by the Organizing Committee for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Department has therefore decided to support new projects labeled “Games Preparation Centers” (CPJ) by the Organizing Committee for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Departmental Council wants to support work on local development facilities. In particular those brought by the cities of Chelles, Bailly-Romainvilliers, Melun and Pontault-Combault, for a total amount of €594,716.

This sum includes: €300,000 in favor of the municipality of Chelles, for development work on the Maurice-Baquet complex (CPJ gymnastics and judo) and development work on the bowl (CPJ skateboard). There is also €150,000 for the municipality of Pontault-Combault for renovation work on the roof of the Boisramé gymnasium (CPJ handball). In addition, €117,963 will go to Melun for development work on the nautical circle (CPJ rowing) and development work on the Jacques-Marinelli complex (CPJ football and fencing).

Finally, 26,753 € are allocated to Bailly-Romainvilliers, for refitting the fencing room, in particular for the practice of wheelchair fencing (CPJ fencing). As a reminder, Seine-et-Marne has nearly 30 CPJ-labeled sites, the Department supports 21 projects involving 18 labeled facilities for nearly 8 million euros.
