OFFICIAL! Bayern Munich Redeem Sadio Mane From Liverpool For €41 Million

After his very successful run at Anfield, the Senegal forward decided to move on and join the Bundesliga champions.

Sadio Mane has officially left Liverpool and joined Bayern Munich for a fee of €41 million (£35 million/$43 million).

The 30-year-old has told The Reds his desire to leave after the Champions League final loss to Real Madrid in May, and with Mane only one year remaining on his contract, Liverpool have now allowed him to leave rather than lose him for nothing.

Mane’s departure saw him end the Senegal international’s success story in English football, with him scoring 120 goals in 269 for Liverpool in all competitions.

How much does Mane cost?

Liverpool will receive a flat fee of €32m (£27m/$34m) for the sale of Mane, with an additional €6m (£5m/$6m) based on his performances, along with another €3m depending on individual and team achievements.

That transfer fee means Liverpool have sold him for more than the €33.5 million they paid to sign him from Southampton in 2016, but for Bayern, it marks an important business in the transfer market.

How long is Mane’s contract and salary at Bayern?

Mane has signed a three-year contract at Bayern, which will keep him at the Allianz Arena until the summer of 2025.

Reports claim he will earn around €15 million per year, making him one of the highest paid players in the Bavarian Team.
