Neymar before leaving Paris Saint-Germain: Superstar apparently gets a mega sum in a compromise

Paris Saint-Germain paid 222 million euros in the summer of 2017 for the services of the Brazilian superstar. His departure should now be worth almost as much to the French capital club.

At a meeting between PSG and Neymar’s father, the modalities of a possible exit are said to have been discussed. Neymar would be open to a move, but provided the club settles the liabilities of around €200m resulting from the contract. Neymar is tied to Paris until 2027.

In view of this fact, a loan from the Brazilian is probably the most realistic solution. In this case, PSG would take over the part of the salary (40 million euros net per year) that the losing club does not cover.

As further explained by ‘El País’, Neymar is said to have conveyed to PSG insiders that he feels humiliated by the club and hopes to get a chance at another big club. Accordingly, the 30-year-old dreams of returning to FC Barcelona.
